This two bay, three bent barn might have been a hop barn at one time.
Nice hewn posts are 8×10 that support the 10 x 10 tie beams that are 2′-0″ below the 8 x 10 rafter plates. Wall purlins are 6 x 9. The 7×8 vertical queen posts that support the 8×8 roof purlin plates carries the 5-7″ diameter common rafters.
This barn would make a good two story addition or an one open style great/living room to any older home.
